After this year's GDP growth of 3.6 percent, the Slovak economy is forecast to expand 3.4 percent in 2017 and up to 3.8 percent in 2018. This comes from the latest outlook by the OECD, posted on its website. An improving labour market will underpin an increase in household spending, with investment also being expected to recover. The OECD forecasts that private consumption in Slovakia will come up 2.8 percent this year, 3.1 percent in 2017 and 3.3 percent in 2018.
