A Slovak delegation headed by Economy Minister Peter Žiga and mayor of the eastern city of Košice Richard Raši, both of the ruling Smer-SD party, are in Japan negotiating a planned major investment in the city by the renowned multinational corporation Minebea. The company works in the field of electrical engineering and it runs several dozen sites worldwide. In Košice it could invest around 100 million euro and employ about one thousand people. The details of the investment plans of the Economy Ministry and the city of Košice are expected next week.
