The flash GDP growth for the third quarter released by the Statistics Office on Tuesday has revealed a noticeable slowdown in real annual growth of the Slovak economy during the summer months, from an year-on-year figure of 3.8 percent in the second quarter to 3.0 percent in the third. The real economic activity has been fluctuating in the summer even more than usual at this time, according to VUB bank analysts. "Leading indicators at home and abroad together with the level of orders, however, suggest that the last quarter could be a bit better, but we expect only a slight increase year on year", reads the analysis. In the coming years 2017-2019, growth is likely to continue to remain above three per cent.
