Transporters displeased with new insurance prices

Car insurance prices have increased by between 100 and 300 percent, according to the Association of road transporters ČESMAD. Its President Pavol Jančovič thinks that the new method by which insurance premiums are calculated could cause existential problems for some transporters. Insurance companies, on the other hand, argue that the increase is due to newly introduced state regulations which forced them to find additional funding, adding that insurance policies had been underpriced for some time.
