EU leaders haven’t solved issues, says Slovak Prime Minister

The leaders of the EU have not managed to name the Union's problems, said Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico at the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments (COSAC) of the EU in Bratislava on Monday. The Slovak prime minister, currently the most powerful politician of the country which presides the EU Council, said that EU leaders have not paid enough attention to unemployment, energy security and numerous other problems. Fico also highlighted the need to talk with the public more often and also commented on Brexit. According to him, the outcome of the negotiations with the UK should not worsen the position of the 27 EU countries while improving the position of the one which will leave.
