Representatives of the ruling coalition in the Slovak Parliament intend to address displays of extremism and xenophobia in the House, Speaker of Parliament Andrej Danko of the Slovak National Party SNS has said. He was supported by Deputy Speaker Bela Bugar of the Most-Hid party.
They were referring to a recent case of what they described as opposition MPs using anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli rhetoric during parliamentary proceedings.
„No-one has produced more racist billboards in Slovakia than the Slovak National Party ahead of the 2010 general election, and current SNS leader and Parliamentary Chairman Andrej Danko was partly behind them", opposition OLaNO-NOVA party leader Igor Matovic said in response to the criticism.
