Slovakia to promote the use of electric motor vehicles

The government has approved steps proposed by the Ministry of Economy in support of the use of alternative fuels for motor vehicles. Minister of Economy Peter Žiga and president of the Association of the Automotive Industry Juraj Sinay have outlined measures meant to promote the sale of electric vehicles in Slovakia. The network of charging stations for electric cars will be increased from the current 100 to 750. In towns and in the countryside restricted low-emission zones will be set out with access limited to alternative fuel vehicles.
