In the years 2017 to 2020, Slovak exports should rise by more than €48 billion compared to 2015, according to a document from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs approved by the government last week. More than 91% of the rise should stem from trade with EU countries. In the short term, Slovakia aims to develop cooperation with the USA, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam and Canada. In contrast to the growing trade activity with the Union, the ministry expects a decline in economic cooperation with Russia due to the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
