The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) has issued a first degree wind warning for Wednesday (2/11) and Thursday (3/11). This was announced on the institute's website. The warning applies to the districts of Banská Bystrica, Prešov and Žilina from Wednesday morning until 8:00 am on Thursday. Wind gusts may reach speeds of 25-31 meters per second (90 to 115 kilometres per hour). "This speed presents potential dangers to human activities," states SHMÚ.
