No Slovaks among victims of Antalya explosion

There are no Slovaks expected to be among the victims of an explosion that took place in the car park of a Turkish Mediterranean resort in Antalya on Tuesday, head of the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry press department Igor Skoček told TASR on the same day. Around a dozen people were mildly injured during the explosion on the carpark of the Trade and Industry Chamber in the resort. The cause of the explosion, which took place only several kilometres from Antalya airport, is not yet known, but city mayor Menderes Turel noted that the explosion may not have been the result of a terror attack but of a technical failure in a car running on liquid petroleum gas (LPG). Turkey has been in a state of emergency following a series of terrorist attacks that has taken place in the country this year and that has been attributed to militant group Islamic State and Kurdish separatists.
