MPs approved the new anti-letterbox company law on Tuesday. All private entities which sign contracts with the state worth more than €100,000 will have to be included in an official registry as of next January. The rule applies to both contracts involving public procurement and state subsidies. According to Justice Minister Lucia Žitňanská from the party Most-Híd, not declaring all owners, or any falsification in the registry would be punished by a fine of up to €1 million. The registry will be fully available to the public.
