The heavily debated topic of regulating opening hours for bars and restaurants in downtown Bratislava returns to the agenda of Old Town officials on Tuesday. According to a regulation previously approved by local MPs, all bars and restaurants had to close by 10pm. Those which upgraded their soundproofing could prolong the opening hours until midnight or 1AM. The regulation has triggered public protests.
