First Slovak Satellite not to launch this year

The date of the launching of the first Slovak satellite skCUBE is unclear. The satellite was originally planned to be launched in May. Later, its start was postponed to June, July and autumn. Unfortunately, it is clear now, that it will not be launched in even October. "At this moment, the date of the launch is not known," said Jakub Kapuš of the Slovak Organisation for Space Activities, which coordinates the entire project. Kapuš does not expect the launching to take place this year. The situation regarding the first Slovak satellite worsened after the crash of the Falcon 9FT crash in September. Then, a motor exploded during pre-start testing which damaged the carrier, satellite and launching ramp.
