Biotechnology, environmental protection, robotics and nanotechnology: these are all areas in which Slovak and Japanese companies could start developing cooperation, said the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SOPK) president Peter Mihók after meeting a delegation from Keidanren (Japan Business Cooperation) in Bratislava. "Slovakia has a great ecological debt within the EU as well, which is why it will have to invest in this area. Environmental protection will definitely be a theme of future negotiations between Slovak and Japanese firms. ," he said. The two sides spoke about robotics and nanotechnologies - areas in which Slovakia has a great deal of potential but isn't developing it further.
