A fire which occurred last night at an apartment block in the northern Slovak city of Žilina, on Bratislava Street, forced 120 people out of their homes. Approximately 70 of these found shelter at the homes of relatives with the remaining 50 people spending the night in the gymnasium of an elementary school. The city of Žilina has declared this an emergency situation.
