Peter Sagan has successfully defended his world road race title on Sunday in the men's race in the 2016 UCI Road World Championships in Doha, Qatar. In a final sprint, the 26 year old Slovak beat Mark Cavendish from Great Britain, retaining his title as World Champion for the second consecutive year. "I don't believe it, I'm still in shock," stated Sagan, who won despite the searing heat.
