The Slovak government has approved a plan to avoid food waste submitted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The plan proposes a set of measures to reduce the amount of food disposed of by Slovak families on a daily basis. According to European parliament findings, the majority of wasted food comes from households.
