The leader of the far right parliamentary opposition Kotleba - People's Party Our Slovakia Marián Kotleba will try to defend his current post of the Governor of Banská Bystrica region in next year's election, announced the party's press department. In 2013, he was elected to this post which was the beginning of the breakthrough of his party which earned 14 out of 150 seats in the Slovak Parliament in the General Election which took place in March this year. Last week, 36 public personalities signed an appeal calling on democratic politicians to join forces and endorse a single candidate against Kotleba in the 2017 regional elections.
