Following the death of the first Slovak president who died on Wednesday, the government announced that there will be a national day of mourning in Slovakia. It is also preparing Kováč's funeral. Dates of the national mourning as well as of the funeral are not yet known. Prime Minister Robert Fico said that it will most likely happen on Thursday, October 13.
