An agreement has been reached between trade unions and the ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family regarding a pay rise of €16 per month for civil servants and other state employees as of 2014. This information was released by Martina Némethová, spokesperson for the Trade Unions Confederation (KOZ) at a meeting on Tuesday.
According to Némethová, who spoke directly after the meeting, the rise by the aforementioned sum will apply to all employees regardless of their current salary. A total of €90 million is to be set aside for the salary rise. The state has also promised, on a preliminary basis, to retain the present-day benefits such as severance payments and holidays in 2014.
