The Slovak Hydrometeorological Office issued a first level rainfall warning for the north of Slovakia for Monday. For Tuesday, the rainfall warning is in effect for the entire country, with a snow warning in place for areas more than 700 meters above sea level. In these areas, the Slovak Hydrometeorological Office expects from two to fifteen centimetres of snow cover. Moreover, strong wind is expected across Slovakia on Tuesday. The rainy weather will remain until Wednesday, when the warning issued will remain in place for the north of Slovakia only.
