Adam Sterling has become the new US ambassador to Slovakia, reported TASR on Wednesday. Sterling recently replaced his predecessor, Theodor Sedgwick, who vacated this position in summer 2015. Thus, the US now has its ambassador in Slovakia after more than a year without one. As Sterling said, the long period without the highest diplomatic official in the country was caused by a slow selection process, not by any problems between the countries. Before coming to Slovakia, Sterling worked as Chargé d'Affaires in the Netherlands and also in Azerbaijan.
