Slovaks helping Team Europe to succeed at World Cup of Hockey

Team Europe, with six Slovaks on its roster, has won the first two games at the World Cup of Hockey 2016 in Canada. After wiping out the USA 3:0 in the first game on Saturday, the international squad also defeated the Czech Republic 3:2 in overtime on Monday. The Slovak goalie, Jaroslav Halák, was in net in both games and assisted to a goal against the Czechs. Forward Marián Gáborík was the first European on the board with his goal in the match against the US, and defenceman Zdeno Chára opened the score list with the Czechs. On Wednesday the Team Europe will face the biggest favourite of the tournament - Canada.
