There was a collision of a train and a truck collided close to the town of Veľký Meder in the Dunajská Streda district. 30 passengers were injured, 4 of them seriously, and 3 were transferred to hospital by a helicopter. The engine driver is in the worst condition, as he got stuck in the engine. The accident caused significant damages on the track, so this section will probably be out of service for a day at least.
