The construction of the Jaguar Land Rover plant begins in the western Slovak city of Nitra on Tuesday. The Company representatives and the Slovak government symbolically tapped the foundation stone of the future car manufacturing plant. Jaguar will be the fourth carmaker in the country, alongside Volkswagen in Bratislava, Kia in Žilina, in northern Slovakia, and Peugeot-Citroen in Trnava, in western Slovakia. According to Alexander Wortberg, director of Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia, the factory should open in the second half of 2018.
