Tax certainty and fighting fiscal evasion, as well as financial crimes and terrorism are the two main goals which EU Finance Ministers have set for themselves at the Informal ECOFIN meeting in Bratislava on Saturday. The Ministers want to "ensure tax certainty that supports the EU's attractiveness as a place for business, investment and balanced growth," according to the report from their meeting. They also plan to "enhance domestic and international cooperation between agencies in tackling financial crimes." The informal meeting was held as part of the Slovak Presidency of the EU Council.
