"It is necessary to open a discussion regarding the value of religion for Europe's identity,"said the President of the Episcopal Conference of Slovakia Stanislav Zvolenský. He met with the heads of central and eastern European Episcopal Conferences in Bratislava on Thursday. Speaker of Parliament Andrej Danko, who also held a speech at the meeting, said that Europe has to keep its Christian values of understanding, love and dialogue. At the same time, Danko said he will do everything to thwart the rights of the LGBTI minority. The representatives of the LGBTI community haven't commented on the statement yet.
