The Wednesday government's away-from-home session in the central Slovak town of Veľký Krtíš has brought to the district an investment of €75 million. As part of the action plan, the government has allocated €3.3 million for various projects directly to the region. According to the local government, the region needs better infrastructure. More than a fifth of the so-called second class roads and almost two thirds of third class roads are in a dangerous or insufficient condition.
