Slovakia ranks in the penultimate position among EU member states in the field of gender equality, according to the results of the Gender Equality Index (GEI) presented in Bratislava on Tuesday. After Slovakia it was Romania that took the last place in the ranking of the European Institute for Gender Equality. The index monitors six main areas (work, money, knowledge, time, power and health) and at the same time tries to quantify the inequalities in the lives of men and women.
