The Education system has to be the government's priority, stated President Andrej Kiska on Monday after meeting Education Minister Peter Plavčan, a nominee of the Slovak National Party. On the occasion of the beginning of the school year, the President reminded again that respect and honour of Education, as well as of the profession of teacher, has to be restored in society. The minister stated that he wants to negotiate with the Finance Minister about further hikes in teachers' salaries during this year.
