The last protest in front of the Bonaparte apartment complex calling on Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák to step down took place on Monday. The opposition parties Ordinary People and Freedom and Solidary, who had been organising a series of protests every Monday throughout the entire summer accuse Robert Kaliňák of being involved in the scandal of tax fraud suspect Ladislav Bašternák. The last protest was held one day before the beginning of the extraordinary parliamentary session initiated also by the opposition with a no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Robert Fico on the agenda. According to the Ordinary People and Freedom and Solidary parties, Fico is also linked to Bašternák's case.
