Slovaks are more worried about poverty and financial shortage than about terrorism. According to research conducted by the Pioneer Investments company, poverty is the biggest worry of 69% of Slovaks. This group includes especially women and people with lower education. 37.5% of Slovaks, especially those under the age of 29, believe their financial situation will improve over the next five years. Only 6% of people between the ages of 45 and 60 share the same opinion. Meanwhile, 12% of Slovaks expect that their financial situation will worsen in the next five years.
