EU-Norway relationship good example for UK, says Prime Minister

The Norwegian model could serve as inspiration for a mode of cooperation between Britain and the EU following Brexit, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said after meeting Norway's Prime Minister Erna Solberg. Their debate was dominated by European issues, but the prime ministers also discussed bilateral cooperation, which Solberg called excellent. Fico also said he's pleased that Slovakia appears to be attractive for Norwegian students, as there are more than 700 of them studying medicine and veterinary treatment in the country. At the same time Fico thanked Norway for the opportunity of drawing money from the Norway Funds for various projects in Slovakia and creating good labour conditions in the country. In the 2009-14 period, Slovakia acquired over €80 million from the Funds.
