As of July this year, 31,200 foreigners worked in Slovakia, reported the Labour Ministry on Monday. This number represents annual growth of 8,400 people. Romanians are the largest minority group with approximately 7,000 of them working in Slovakia, followed by 3,800 Czechs and 3,300 Hungarians. According to the Ministry, one third of all foreigners worked in Bratislava in July. On the other hand, only three foreigners worked in the Gelnica district, eastern Slovakia, as of last month.
