As of September, Slovakia will send ten more soldiers to Cyprus; increasing their numbers in the United Nations peacekeeping mission to 169, wrote Defence Minister Peter Gajdoš on his social media profile. Thus, Slovakia reacted to UN's request to increase the number of soldiers in Cyprus. The goal of the mission is to maintain armistice among the hostile Cypriot Greeks and Cypriot Turks residing on the island.
