The Finance Ministry has published the draft of next year's state budget with a deficit of €2.4 billion. Finance Minister Peter Kažimír promised more money for the Health Ministry to cover long expected changes in the health care system. On the other hand, the Foreign and Culture Ministries will have to deal with smaller budgets. According to the estimations of the Finance Ministry, Slovakia's revenues should exceed its expenses in four years. However, the analysts are sceptical. "The government is not able to reach its financial goals now, therefore I do not believe it will manage to do so in future," said the head of the Institute for the Economic and Social Reforms, Peter Goliáš, referring to this year's failed deficit estimate.
