The construction of the National Football Stadium at Telehné pole in Bratislava should be completed at the beginning of 2018. The winner of the contract, the company STRABAG should build it for €54 million. The stadium, with a capacity of 20,000 people, will be constructed at the site of the former stadium of the Slovan Bratislava football club. The state has agreed to fund the construction with €27.2 million. Once finished, the state will own the non-commercial part of the stadium and will pay the difference if its price exceeds the funded sum.
