A quarter of Slovakia’s unemployed is under 29

In June, more than 84,000 unemployed people in Slovakia were younger than 29 years of age, reported the SITA press agency. This number represents more than a quarter of all people without jobs. The greatest portion of these people come from the Prešov and Košice regions. On the contrary, the Trenčín and Bratislava regions have the smallest number of jobless individuals under 29. When looking at younger people, the Slovak Labour Office records more than 39,000 unemployed between 20 and 24 years and about 7,200 teenagers.
