Sylvia Tiryaki, a Slovak lecturing at Kültür University in Istanbul denies any link to the coup which took place in Turkey in mid-July. Last weekend she appeared in a list of alleged perpetrators of the failed revolution and was subsequently interrogated by police. "I can't feature on the list of coup plotters in Turkey - there is no reason for that," she told TASR on Tuesday. She also added that no journalist asked her what she thinks of it and whether it's actually true. "My opinion on the situation in Turkey can be summed up by stating that virtually the whole country has been united in condemning the recent coup," said Tiryaki, adding that the Turks are angry at those who wanted to interfere with their democracy.
