The Slovak army is ready to send its military experts on chemical substances to help deal with the situation in Syria. “I have proposed our offer, now it depends on the requirements of the international community and the situation in Syria,” stated Defence Minister Martin Glváč in connection with the international training event TOXIC VALLEY 2013 which took place in Slovakia, in Zemianske Kostoľany.
Military specialists on chemical substances from eight countries took part at the event organised by the Slovak army. The units will, apart from other things, train how to take, pack, and transport chemical substances and then subsequently identify them as well. As Minister Glváč stated, thanks to their abilities, experiences and training possibilities, Slovak military chemists have good reputations in the world.
