As of November, penalties for illegal employment will be higher. Such a fine for employing two or more persons simultaneously currently starts at €2000, and as of next month will be increased to at least €5,000 going all the way up to €200,000.
As the revised Act on Labour Inspection signed by President Ivan Gašparovič states, the lower and upper limits of the fine for defaulting on duties ensuing from law will go up as well, from the current €65 and €650 to €100 and €1,000.
