Slovak associated with the coup in Turkey

Sylvia Tiryaki, a Slovak scholar, political analyst and civil society activist was included as a CIA agent on a list of alleged conductors of July's coup in Turkey. The allegation was raised by a Turkish newspaper, which supports the current president Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The newspaper claims that 11 foreigners on the list met before the coup in order to plan it. Tiryaki called the allegations nonsense; however, she confirmed meeting with Dr. Henri J. Barkey, American scholar and director of the Middle East Program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
