The Bratislava region has joined the club of successful regional innovators of the EU, reported the EU Regional Innovation Scoreboard. In the ranking, European regions are divided into four groups - leaders, successful innovators, moderate and weaker innovators. The Bratislava region was listed in the second group for having a high number of educated people, exporting specialized products and for a high employment rate in expert professions. All remaining Slovak regions were listed in the third group, labelled as moderate regional innovators.
