On Friday a part of a railway bridge construction in the High Tatras collapsed following a landslide under the railway tracks. The incident occurred between the villages of Vyšné Hágy and Tatranská Polianka shortly after a tram crossed over the bridge. No one was injured and no further damages were reported. According to the state railway carrier Železniče Slovenskej Republiky the reparations should take several weeks. Meanwhile, the company will substitute the local trams with bus lines.
