According to the Slovak Chamber of Nurses & Midwives the first 100 days of Health Minister Tomáš Drucker have been positive. "Despite the fact that his tenure has lasted a relative short time, he's not afraid of making personnel changes and is already coming up with initial proposals to bolster the effectiveness of the Slovak health-care system," stated member of Slovak Nurses and Midwives Chamber presidium Milan Laurinc. However, the representatives of the chamber are already expecting the minister to file the first proposals in order to solve the issue of nurse shortages, and to make nursing and midwifery more attractive as occupations.
