Searching for oil and natural gas reserves will continue in north-eastern Slovakia. The Alpine Oil & Gas company has already been given an official five year license extension from the Environment Ministry, allowing it to conduct research in the localities of Svidnik, Medzilaborce and Snina. The company is planning to test three bore samples in order to screen for the presence of oil and natural gas in the regions in question. Alpine Oil and Gas is owned by five companies with their seats in the United Kingdom and one seated in the United States.
