Natural gas consumption in Slovakia in 2015 reached almost 4.8 billion cubic metres, representing a 11.1% annual hike, the Economy ministry reported. The increase in consumption could have been more pronounced if it hadn't been for the warm winter. In terms of origin of consumed gas, 98 percent was imported, and almost 2% was extracted in Slovakia.
