Rising number of Slovaks with liver diseases

For the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, which the World Health Organisation set for July 28th, the Slovak Society of Hepatology warns of the significant hike in the number of patients with liver diseases. Slovakia occupies 4th place on the list of all European countries in the death rate due to such illnesses. Experts estimate that around 35 thousand people have been infected with Hepatitis C in Slovakia and more than 100 thousand have hepatitis B.
