According to the SME daily, the Slovak secret service has known for at least two months about a possible financial connection between Moscow and the far right parliamentary party Kotleba - People's Party Our Slovakia. SME cites Polish authorities, which highlighted an alleged connection when they arrested the leader of a local pro-Russian party for espionage. Police and the Intelligence Agency have refused to comment the case, as doing so would be illegal. The party Kotleba - People's Party Our Slovakia stated in the final report on their election campaign costs, that it had barely any expenses and that its campaign was paid for by individual donations.
