Slovakia is at the hub of European discussions on the future of the EU, stated Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák. He discussed the Slovak Presidency of the EU Council and the future challenges of the EU with representatives of the NGO sector and with EU-member state ambassadors to Slovakia "It is important for the ministry to become familiar with the opinions and ideas of people from different areas of society and take their views into account," stated Lajčák. The Foreign Minister also stressed that Slovakia is intensively working on preparations for the Bratislava summit of EU Prime Ministers and Presidents which is to take place this September. The post-Brexit future of the EU will be the main topic of the agenda.
